Different Types of Essays Available Through Modern Academic Studies
An essay is a typically, lengthy piece of writing that typically presents the author’s argument, however, the definition isn’t entirely clear that covers all kinds of other writings, such as a novel, a piece of paper, an article, pamphlets, and even short stories. Essays are typically informal and are primarily introductory in nature. Students often begin their essays with a thesis statement. They then proceed to research and arguments in the body. The narrative essay is another type of essay. The narrative essay is a much more common type of essay than the descriptive. Many writers prefer to tell stories in their essays, instead of using the descriptive format. This creates interest in the essay and gives writers more time to concentrate on the primary issue. These kinds of essays are highly persuasive and students must utilize many tools, including well-written sentence structures, proper grammar, and meticulous proofreading. The goal of a persuasive essay is to convince the reader that their argument is correct. A persuasive essay requires a great amount of knowledge and often research is required to determine the viability of the argument.
Many instructors have developed the hybrid essay known as the Narrative Essay. This is in addition to the expository persuasive, argumentative, persuasive and expository essay styles. A narrative essay is like an expository essay in that it requires strong argument and evidence, but it also requires a solid and well-constructed plot. A narrative essay usually is about a person or event and the writer uses the narrative to support their argument. The primary distinction between expository and narrative essays is that expository essays usually be more thorough than narrative essays.
